The lotus pods have several small holes/holes where shrimps can hide and find food. The lotus pods are a natural product and therefore have a natural appearance. This gives the aquarium a natural look and the natural environment of shrimp and fish imitated.

The effects of lotus pods in the aquarium can be compared to the effects of catappa products. The lotus pods are full of tannins which have many positive effects and naturally lower the pH of the water. These substances also have an antibacterial and stress-relieving effect. The lotus pods give the water a brown colour and are therefore also suitable for creating a black water biotope.

Because the lotus pod is a natural product, it may vary in shape and size.

Naturally contains polyphenols, proteins and polysaccharides, among other things. Like other natural products, these seed heads are believed to have medicinal and disinfectant properties. However, this has not yet been proven.

Before use, we recommend boiling the lotus pods for 40 minutes. While cooking, place a stone or other heavy object on the pods. Finally, soak them in water overnight, again under a heavy object. This is to minimise the floating ability of the pods. It is a bit of work, but your aquarium is guaranteed to have a beautiful, natural decoration after this.
