Pogostemon octopus – 5cm pot 

Pogostemon octopus is still quite rare in the UK but well worth the effort to find!

The fairly undemanding plant has leaves that vary in colour from lime green to dark green and even hue’s of red under good light. It can be planted as a mid/back ground plant or even allowed to float and grow as surface plant offering fantastic shelter for fry and shrimps

Originating from Asia this plant grows to about 25cm so place it in the mid-ground of your tank. Relatively easy to grow and undemanding but it’s well worth growing. Give it a trim once in a while to retain its shape and it will impress you.
